Adopt a Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Myra the Dog needs a home

Myra - Now Available!

5 year 2 month  old Female Rat Terrier Mix

I've been at ARC for 2 months and 25 days

Weight: 30 Pounds

My story:

ARC has worked with a shelter in Louisiana after severe flooding in the fall of 2016 led to massive overcrowding.  Myra came to us as part of the Rising Waters Rescue Effort from Louisiana, with her two young puppies.   Her puppies have both been adopted, and soon it will be her turn!  Myra is a gorgeous girl that loves to run and play.  Like many dogs rescued in these circumstances, Myra was heartworm positive.  Heartworm disease is lengthy and expensive to treat, but ARC is always happy to provide these dogs with a second chance at a healthy life!  Myra is currently undergoing heartworm treatment and, pending completion, will be ready to find her perfect home.
